The full review
The HomePod Mini is how Apple answers the smart-speaker question: small sphere, surprisingly big sound. The 360-degree audio fills a bedroom or kitchen evenly, and computational audio keeps things clear even at low volumes — late-night listening won't wake anyone.
For iPhone owners it's the natural pick: hand off music by tapping your phone on top, take calls through it, and control HomeKit devices by voice. It also works as a HomeKit hub, meaning your smart bulbs and plugs stay controllable when you're away.
The honest limitation is ecosystem lock-in — AirPlay and Siri are Apple-only territory, and Spotify control is clunkier than on Echo speakers. Android households should look elsewhere; iPhone households will love it.
