The full review
The Air Jordan 1 isn't just a shoe — it's the founding document of sneaker culture. The 'Bred' black-and-red colourway is the one the NBA actually banned, and it remains the most wearable Jordan: the colours work with jeans, chinos, joggers, everything.
On foot, expect honest retro performance rather than modern cushioning — the Air-Sole unit is firm but comfortable for all-day wear, and the leather upper breaks in beautifully over the first weeks. High-tops give real ankle support; the grip is still excellent.
In Kenya the caution is authenticity — Jordan 1s are the most-faked shoe on the planet. Buy from verified retailers only, check stitching and box labels, and be suspicious of prices far below market. The real thing holds value; fakes fall apart in months.
