The full review
The Oppo A57 is the kind of phone that disappears into your life — it just works. The 5,000mAh battery is the headline: two days of WhatsApp, M-Pesa, calls and light browsing is realistic, which matters more in this bracket than any benchmark score.
You get a 6.56-inch 90Hz LCD display — not AMOLED, but smooth enough that scrolling doesn't feel cheap — and stereo speakers that are genuinely rare this far down the price ladder. ColorOS is clean and easy to learn if you're coming from a feature phone.
Limits exist: the Helio G35 handles daily apps fine but stutters on heavy games, and low-light photos are ordinary. For calls, social media, mobile money and media, though, it does the job for very little money.
